What we do
At O Projeto Riza Animal Sanctuary, we rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong care for farmed animals in need. Our mission is to offer a safe and loving home to those who have been neglected, abandoned, and mistreated.

Rescue
Rescue is at the heart of everything we do. We provide a second chance to animals used for farming who have suffered neglect, abandonment, or abuse. Bringing people together is a big part of our mission. Through events like sanctuary open days, and the Coimbra Vegan Market, we hold spaces for people to connect, learn, and build a world that honors and respects all animals, including humans.
